Senior Backend Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain Java/Kotlin backend services for order lifecycle, payments, and device
• Architect APIs and event-driven systems for low-latency, cross-device consistency.
• Deliver offline-first, multi-device synchronization in live restaurant environments.
• Collaborate with Android, product, and other teams to ship reliable systems.
• Maintain code quality via testing, reviews, and observability.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s in CS or equivalent experience; 3+ years software engineering.
• Strong backend design, microservices, concurrency, distributed systems.
• Java and Kotlin; relational/NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, CockroachDB, Redis).
• Cloud experience (AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure).
• Nice-to-have: Kafka/Flink, offline-first, CRDTs, device reliability impact.

• Base salary of $167,000 - $230,000 plus equity and bonus potential.
