📋 Description
- Own the roadmap for Hover's estimating product line end to end.
- Define two use cases: retail and restoration/insurance claims without forking the product or team.
- Lead the Estimates team (six engineers) and collaborate with product, design, and data groups.
- Move to a flexible estimating engine taking more input types (inspections/assessments).
- Reduce maintenance cost and integrate estimates into the main app, with standalone pricing work.
- Engage directly with enterprise customers to shape the roadmap.
🎯 Requirements
- 10+ years in software engineering with 4+ years leading engineering teams.
- Experience managing multiple teams or focus areas.
- Proven people management: hiring, leveling, coaching, performance conversations, promotions.
- Architecture experience and ability to defend decisions; familiarity with Ruby on Rails, React
- AI fluency in applying generative tooling in workflows and measuring impact.
