Staff Engineer, Electrical Failure Analysis (R5616)

📋 Description

• Lead failure analysis investigations for avionics hardware: PCBAs, harnesses, connectors
• Perform root cause analysis (RCA) using structured methodologies (8D, 5-Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree)
• Conduct electrical, mechanical, and environmental failure analysis
• Collaborate with design engineers to identify design vulnerabilities and process issues
• Work with cross-functional teams (reliability, mechanical, embedded, software, production, supply
• Drive corrective actions to closure and present findings to leadership

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent
• 8+ years in failure analysis, reliability, or hardware debugging for
• Strong technical fundamentals
• Experience with cross-sectioning, microscopy, X-ray, and other FA techniques
• Hands-on PCBA failure mechanisms, harnesses, connectors, crimping, shielding, and interconnect
• Proven ownership and ability to deliver high-quality solutions in fast-paced environments
