Staff Software Engineer, Infrastructure (Distributed Systems)

📋 Description

• Independently scope and lead complex, multi-month infra projects
• Make architectural decisions shaping foundations for others
• Drive alignment on technical direction across teams
• Partner with research/product to design infra for compute needs
• Own reliability, scalability, and security as usage grows
• Build and improve operational processes (incidents, postmortems, on-call rotations)

🎯 Requirements

• Experience designing, building, operating large-scale distributed systems
• History delivering complex, ambiguous projects
• Experience making architectural decisions used by multiple teams
• Strong fundamentals; proficient in Python, Rust, Go, or Java
• Experience with modern cloud infra: Kubernetes and IaC on AWS/GCP
• Strong written/verbal comms; able to drive cross-team alignment
