Coding Specialist II - Profee Cardiology

📋 Description

• Review clinical docs to assign ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS codes
• Abstract and validate diagnoses, procedures, and discharge data
• Apply coding guidelines and payer requirements for compliance
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and production standards
• Support client staff with documentation questions
• Protect confidentiality per HIPAA and privacy rules

🎯 Requirements

• Active AHIMA or AAPC credential (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCA or CPC/COC, etc.)
• At least two years of hands-on medical coding experience
• Strong cardiology coding knowledge (ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS)
• Consistent 95% quality threshold
• MS Office proficiency (Outlook, Word, Excel)
• Associate degree in HIM or related field preferred
