Senior Database Administrator

📋 Description

• Administer MySQL and PostgreSQL database engines running within the AWS Cloud, including Amazon RDS
• Install, configure, maintain, and optimize database instances, including RDS Parameter Groups
• Manage database security, authentication, permissions, and privileges in accordance with
• Develop and maintain database objects such as tables, views, and indexes while optimizing vacuum
• Monitor database health and performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement tuning and
• Develop, maintain, and validate database backup strategies to support availability and recovery

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Science
• 15+ years of relevant professional experience in database administration.
• Extensive enterprise-level experience administering MySQL 5.7/8.0 and/or PostgreSQL 12–16.
• Hands-on experience with Amazon RDS or Aurora managed services.
• Deep understanding of Linux-based database environments and open-source database internals.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud environments and strong capabilities in DLM, security
