Senior Backend Engineer, Growth (US)

📋 Description

• You’ll be the founding backend engineer on a Growth team handling paywalls, subscription tiering
• Work end-to-end across the funnel (acquisition to retention) with mobile and product teams; API
• Operate with high agency, maintain clear written communication, and contribute to US engineering
• Anchor on-call coverage in your time zone and support follow-the-sun backend work.
• Collaborate with mobile and product to shape experiments and product strategy.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years backend software development with strong design/architecture skills.
• Experience with APIs consumed by mobile clients (REST, gRPC, WebSocket).
• Proficiency in building scalable backend services, with emphasis on experimentation/analytics
• Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes; familiarity with monitoring (Grafana/Prometheus).
• Strong written communication and product-minded approach; ability to work asynchronously in a
