Supplier Development Engineer, Manufacturing (Raptor)

📋 Description

• Serve as the technical point of contact for rocket parts and assemblies
• Own NPI of new parts and assemblies on rocket, determine manufacturing method
• Drive product improvements to reduce risk and improve manufacturability
• Review issues and drive root-cause analysis with supplier and SpaceX
• Create and disposition issue tickets for re-work or use-as-is disposition
• Lead containment on assigned parts and coordinate with cross-functional teams

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline
• 1+ years in manufacturing or process engineering
• Experience with machined parts, sheet metal, composites, or raw materials
• Knowledge of supplier quality processes and PFMEA
• GD&T experience and basic CAD/3D modeling skills
• Problem-solving with data, 8D methodology, and lean concepts
