Manager of Bioinformatics (Women's Health and Organ Health)

📋 Description

• Lead production bioinformatics and data science algorithms for Women’s Health and Organ Health
• Manage a team of Data and Bioinformatics Scientists; coordinate with Production Engineering
• Own triage processes for inconclusive reports and determine upstream changes to reduce occurrences.
• Define and validate changes to pipelines and algorithms in production with required evidence.
• Set standards for AI-assisted workflows, balancing automation with necessary manual reproduction.
• Drive cross-functional partnerships to align direction, commitments, and upstream fixes.

🎯 Requirements

• MS or PhD in a technical field (Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Data Science) or equivalent
• 5+ years with genomic/sequencing data; 2+ years in people leadership.
• Proven ownership of support, escalation, or on-call functions with accountability.
• Experience leading investigations across multiple systems and achieving resolutions.
• A track record of cross-organizational alignment without direct authority.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and systems-thinking abilities.
