Welding Technician

📋 Description

• Looking to hire a Welding Technician at DIS-TRAN Packaged Substations, Port of Alexandria Facility.
• Assist FBS Welders in cutting, fitting, and welding aluminum bus pipe and cable jumpers.
• Support production process in Project Services Center.
• Read blueprints and move machinery/equipment, including cranes, to manipulate pipe/jumpers.
• Perform skilled tasks with speed and accuracy to maintain steady productivity.
• Adhere to safety practices and participate in safety meetings as required.

🎯 Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Read measuring devices (tape measure, rules, squares) and perform simple shop math.
• Experience using simple hand tools (wrenches, hammer, screwdriver).
• Demonstrate safe work practices and maintain a clean work area.
• Highly motivated with a desire to learn.
