Job Description
📋 Description
- Lead thermo-mechanical analysis for advanced photonics packaging.
- Develop FE models for wafer- and unit-level packaging.
- Drive design/ material solutions to meet thermal, optical, and reliability goals.
- Coordinate lab prototyping and vendor experiments to validate designs.
- Automate simulations with Python and MATLAB workflows.
- Communicate findings to stakeholders across teams.
🎯 Requirements
- MS or PhD in Mechanical Eng, Materials Science, or related field.
- Deep FEM experience with Ansys, Abaqus, or equivalent.
- Multi-physics simulation experience: thermal-structural coupling.
- Packaging failure modes knowledge: solder fatigue, delamination, CTE stress.
- Experience with wafer-level and unit-level assembly processes.
- Python and/or MATLAB for automation and data analysis.
