Chief Engineer, Autonomy (R4614)

📋 Description

• Lead a team of engineers to deliver autonomous capabilities for UAS within Shield AI’s Hivemind
• Manage system architecture, design, risk mitigation, and product quality across small to large
• Oversee IRAD initiatives and DoD contracts, driving technical scope and delivery quality.

🎯 Requirements

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering, or related
• 10+ years in autonomy/UAS platforms (defense tech, autonomous systems)
• 7+ years delivering software into production in high-reliability environments
• Understanding of guidance, control and navigation (GNC)
• Robotics stack knowledge: controls, estimation, perception, planning
• Experience with software development processes and deploying software
