Senior Propulsion Test Engineer (R4640)

📋 Description

• Lead propulsion test campaigns for the X-BAT platform from architecture through test-to-flight
• Own end-to-end propulsion test activities and interpret results to inform flight readiness
• Design/test stands and fixtures for engine, fuel, oil, bleed air, and TVC testing.
• Define instrumentation plans, DAQ architecture, calibration methods, and procedures.
• Lead ground test campaigns with performance mapping, transient response, and edge-of-envelope
• Analyze test data to validate performance and drive design or control updates.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in propulsion or engine testing in aerospace development.
• Hands-on with engine test cells, test stand design, instrumentation, DAQ.
• Strong understanding of gas turbine performance and transients.
• Proficiency in Python for data reduction, automation, and analysis.
• Experience supporting flight test readiness and test-to-flight transitions.
