Engineer II, Flight Controls - X-BAT (R4816)

📋 Description

• Contribute to the XBAT flight control system for robustness across all flight phases
• Design and implement flight control laws for multiple regimes
• Build high-fidelity 6DOF simulation environments for control development
• Verify with linear analysis, Monte Carlo, disturbance testing, and HIL validation
• Diagnose simulation-to-test mismatches and modeling gaps
• Support flight test ops and rapid iteration between flights

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in flight controls / GNC on real flight vehicles
• Experience in vehicle modeling & simulation for 6DOF environments
• Control law design for inner/outer loops on fixed-wing aircraft
• Control allocation for over-actuated systems
• Trajectory generation algorithm experience
• Validation: linear/nonlinear/Monte Carlo analyses; robustness studies
