Staff Engineer, Thermal - Air Vehicle (R4856)

📋 Description

• Execute thermal analysis and characterization for UAV aircraft-level systems.
• Architect and validate models for heat transfer and fluid flow via hand calcs and CFD tools.
• Perform trade studies, determine system architecture, and assess risks.
• Define/test planning, instrumentation, and data analysis to correlate with experiments.
• Mentor cross-disciplinary teams in thermal/fluid fundamentals.
• Communicate findings through design reviews and technical reports.

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering (or related).
• 7+ years in thermal engineering.
• Deep expertise in heat transfer and fluid mechanics.
• Active and passive cooling knowledge for aircraft bays and hot surfaces.
• Proficiency with FloEFD, STAR-CCM+, Thermal Desktop.
• CAD: NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
