Staff Software Engineer, Autonomous Pilot Integration (R5208)

📋 Description

• Lead autonomy software integration on unmanned platforms (air, maritime, space, effects).
• Develop mission behaviors, platform control, multi-agent coordination, and executive autonomy.
• Collaborate with Autonomy Capabilities, Perception, and external platform integrators.
• Mentor mid-level engineers; onboard new hires; technical leader for sub-programs.
• Own build/config/validation for mission-ready systems; coordinate hardware/software compatibility.

🎯 Requirements

• BS/MS in CE/EE/Mechanical/Aerospace or equivalent; 7+ years with BA, or 5+ with MS, or 4+ with PhD.
• Proficiency in C++ for real-time/latency-sensitive systems; Linux development; embedded systems
• Familiarity with middleware/IPC (e.g., DDS); hands-on field/demo experience.
• Experience with autonomy simulation environments; leading small technical teams; mentoring.
• Interface contract/ICD authoring; problem-solving; strong communication.
• Ability to obtain SECRET clearance.
