Lead AI Systems Engineer

📋 Description

• Build Benepass internal AI platform end-to-end
• Own AI systems roadmap for company-wide automation
• Sit as Staff IC in Platform Engineering
• Own platform primitives: agents, tools, retrieval, evaluations
• Drive faster PR/cycle times and AI tool adoption

🎯 Requirements

• Staff-level impact shipping systems others depend on
• Strong programming fundamentals (Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript)
• Experience building internal platforms, developer tools, or CI/CD automation
• Hands-on with modern AI systems: coding agents, LLM APIs, orchestration
• Experience enabling quality through automation (E2E testing, intelligent quality gates)
• Solid systems instincts: APIs, permissions, observability, reliability
