Senior ML Engineer, Perception Research

📋 Description

• Role in Waymo AI Foundations team focusing on ML solutions for autonomous driving.
• Hybrid work schedule; reports to Principal Research Scientist.
• Develop and deploy models for 3D Perception using Camera/LiDAR/Radar data.
• Build scalable data pipelines for Training & Eval across multiple sources.
• Design evaluation frameworks for perception models and optimize training/inference.
• Collaborate with partner teams to deploy models to production.

🎯 Requirements

• PhD or Masters in CS/ML/Robotics with 2+ years of RL or foundation models research.
• Proficiency with scalable distributed training (Data parallel, FSDP, sharding).
• Willingness to work with globally distributed inference infrastructure.
