📋 Description
- Lead architecture, design, and integration of custom robotic actuators
- Design, simulate, integrate and source electromagnetic components
- Define requirements and trade studies: torque, bandwidth, thermal, cost
- Develop precision electromechanical assemblies with tolerances and thermal considerations
- Drive actuator integration with controls and software teams for closed-loop performance
- Build and validate prototypes; develop test methodologies for reliability and durability
🎯 Requirements
- Bachelor’s or graduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechatronics, or related field
- 5+ years designing electromagnetic systems, robotic actuators, or precision hardware
- Strong understanding of motors, transmissions, encoders, and thermal management
- Experience with actuator sensing architectures and encoder calibration
- CAD/PLM proficiency (NX, Teamcenter or equivalent)
- Experience moving designs from prototype to production (DFM, DFA, DFT)
