Summer 2027 AI/ML Engineering Intern

📋 Description 12-week Summer 2027 internship (May to August). On-site at Washington DC five days a week with housing/relocation for co-ops outside DC metro. Work on Platform Integration & AI/Data squad: ML/AI features inside NOS, including LLM-driven Ship models and features to production alongside full-time engineers and nuclear-domain experts. 🎯 Requirements Currently enrolled in a BS in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Science, Statistics Available for full six-month term?(note: program is 12 weeks May-Aug) Strong Python fundamentals; hands-on exposure to ML/LLM tooling (PyTorch, Hugging Face, or similar). Track record of shipping working software or ML projects (course, personal, or prior internship). Willing to work on-site in Washington DC for the full term; U.S. Person status not explicitly Hands-on experience with LLMs/agents, data pipelines, and cloud platforms (Foundry, AWS/Foundry 🎁 Benefits Base salary: $25.00 per hour plus a $2,000 monthly housing stipend (before taxes).
