Senior Systems Engineer

📋 Description

• Overall technical lead for Spire Space and/or Ground Systems, from development through on-orbit
• Lead requirements management, risk management, and flow-down of top-level requirements to lower
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary teams to resolve technical discrepancies in requirements and system
• Act as primary technical POC to customers and contractors; communicate customer requirements to
• Develop knowledge of Spire satellite platforms, operations systems, payloads, and customer
• Support sales engineering with technical concepts, budgets, and feasibility during the sales cycle.

🎯 Requirements

• BSc in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent; 5+ years in a technical engineering discipline
• Comprehensive understanding of space systems and remote systems operation.
• Preferred: multi-discipline space systems engineer experience; RF/optical payload experience
• Experience coordinating diverse technical teams across time zones; strong interpersonal and
• Experience in satellite mission design, development, testing, and understanding major mission
