Senior Mainframe Systems Programmer - DB2 Engineer

📋 Description

• Provide premium DB2 DBA support for mainframe DB2 systems.
• Develop, administer and tune databases for client development, test and production environments.
• Perform daily maintenance: backups, restores, monitor growth, reorganizations, DR procedures, and
• Include 24x7x365 support across multiple time zones and on-call responsibilities.
• Support client migrations related to DB2 and assist in transitioning newly acquired clients.
• Collaborate to address technical hurdles during migrations and DR plan execution.

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10 years of professional experience in DB2 administration and application support.
• Extensive experience with: Mainframe DB2 administration, multiple DB2 subsystems, building DB2
• Experience with vendor tools (CA, BMC, IBM) and after-hours on-call support.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
