- Own sensing system performance
- Define sensing requirements for model dev and on-road use
- Drive decisions on sensor configuration and system design
- Reduce ambiguity in sensing performance for data-driven decisions
- Cross-functional role across Robotics, Hardware, Vehicle SW, and Product
- Impact on ML systems through sensing quality
🎯 Requirements
- 5+ years in autonomous systems, robotics, automotive, or related field
- Translate product/model needs into testable sensing requirements
- Hands-on with at least one primary sensor modality (camera, LiDAR, radar)
- Experience with multi-sensor systems (perception and localization)
- Experience evaluating sensor performance in real-world conditions
- Experience defining metrics, benchmarks, and acceptance criteria
