Diesel Mechanic

📋 Description Consult customer and read work orders to evaluate tasks Prepare work plans after scoping issues Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpret results Inspect vehicle systems including suspensions, steering and exhausts Repair or replace transmissions, brakes, engines, and other parts Conduct field visits for emergencies or breakdowns 🎯 Requirements At least 4 years diesel or heavy equipment maintenance/repair experience Advanced knowledge of vehicle electrical system and diesel engine mechanisms In-depth knowledge of diesel engine components Superior knowledge of maintenance tools and repair equipment Comfortable using mechanical and electrical power tools Excellent problem-solving skills 🎁 Benefits We provide union benefits via Machinist District 9, IAM & Aerospace Local 777 Health and Welfare, Vision, Dental, Union Pension Paid vacation (5 days after first anniversary) and holidays (9 days per year) 8.5-hour workdays, 30 minutes unpaid lunch Weekly Pay
