Senior z/OS Systems Programmer

📋 Description System lead for maintaining and advancing core mainframe OS environment (z/OS). Design, develop, and improve core platform services on z/OS with automated testing and deployment. Build observability, monitor production health, resolve incidents, and perform root-cause analysis. Manage Parallel Sysplex and Coupling Facility configurations for high availability. Collaborate with global mainframe teams and stakeholders to align improvements with business goals. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to engineering culture through reviews and internal 🎯 Requirements 10+ years’ experience in z/OS systems programming or similar senior engineering role. Deep knowledge of z/OS internals and architecture; mastery of core components and subsystems. GDPS operations and Coupling Facility management for high availability. SMP/E packaging, installation, and maintenance of z/OS software; ability to plan/execute complex Programming & Scripting: REXX, TSO/ISPF, JCL; Assembler coding a plus.
