📋 Description Lead a top-tier applied ML team focused on building eval frameworks, infrastructure, and AI-powered Drive technical direction, and provide technical inputs and guidance to the team. Architect ML-driven metrics and evaluation frameworks that rigorously test World Model quality Chart the technical direction for World Model evaluation, translating modeling challenges into Build AI-powered internal tools and products that streamline the model eval journey for users Partner with cross-functional teams and senior technical leadership to deploy solutions into 🎯 Requirements Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Machine Learning, or related field, or equivalent experience 3+ years of hands-on technical leadership experience managing teams of 5-10 engineers 7+ years building, deploying, and optimizing ML systems in production Strong software engineering proficiency in Python and/or C++ Experience with ML frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow, with foundation in deep learning Proven ability to design robust evaluation frameworks and work with large-scale data processing 🎁 Benefits The salary range is listed below; starting pay depends on location and experience Waymo employees are eligible for discretionary annual bonus, equity, and benefits
