📋 Description Lead cross-functional safety analyses to identify hazards and assess risks for Waymo's autonomous Participate in hardware, software, and operations design reviews to ensure safety mitigations are Provide guidance on safety standards, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices Evaluate ongoing effectiveness of risk control strategies and identify new hazards Drive System Safety processes and integrate with Waymo safety framework Collaborate with partners to ensure safety requirements are met in field operations 🎯 Requirements Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Mechatronics/Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering 7+ years of engineering experience with at least 5 years in System Safety Strong ability to perform inductive/deductive safety analyses to identify hazards and risks Proficient in Systems Engineering principles and SMART safety mitigations Experience in risk management and aligning decisions with stakeholders Excellent technical project management skills and ability to manage multiple projects 🎁 Benefits Health, dental, vision, life, disability insurance 401(k) with company match Paid Time Off and Sick Time, maternity leave and baby bonding support Holidays and discretionary bonuses/equity eligible
