📋 Description Lead the Search Platform team building indexing, retrieval, ranking and serving Own strategy/roadmap for Claude's search needs over time Own search quality: evaluation, relevance and regression detection Operate the platform at scale with focus on reliability, latency and cost Wear the product hat when needed: prioritize search needs and drive launches Drive cross-team collaboration with product, research and infrastructure 🎯 Requirements Significant experience leading engineering teams Direct experience building/operating search systems at scale Hands-on technical depth: review designs, read code, engage with senior ICs Product mindset; comfortable making product calls without a PM Track record running high-scale latency-sensitive production systems Strong cross-functional alignment across product, research and infra 🎁 Benefits Salary range: $320,000 – $405,000 USD We sponsor visas where possible Competitive benefits, equity options and office space
