📋 Description Lead data pipelines powering ML for Waymo Driver decisions Prototype data pipelines and finetune models quickly Deploy ML models to fleet with end-to-end validation Collaborate with perception, research, simulation, evaluation Mentor engineers in data-first reasoning approaches Hybrid role reporting to an Engineering Manager 🎯 Requirements Applied ML experience: data shaping, feature engineering, loss/reward shaping Scalable eval workflows and ML metric development Experience with large-scale models/datasets; strong API design Experience solving cross-component design problems PhD, Masters or Bachelors in CS, ML, Robotics or related field Experience with LLMs, VLMs, DL or RL preferred 🎁 Benefits Base salary: $251,000 – $310,000 USD Eligible for discretionary annual bonus Equity incentive plan Generous company benefits program
