📋 Description Lead regional public policy team across Western states; manage goals and budgets. Translate regional intelligence into strategic insights for leaders. Collaborate with Legal, Communications, Product, Safety to align policy with business goals. Develop and execute policy roadmap and allocate resources in the West. Oversee state consultants and represent Waymo in trade associations and coalitions. Role reports to Director of U.S. State and Local Policy and Public Policy Campaigns. 🎯 Requirements Bachelor's in Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Communications, or related field. 10+ years in government affairs or public policy with tech/regulated sectors. Deep knowledge of Western state/local processes and strong stakeholder network. Ability to translate technical concepts into persuasive advocacy. Excellent executive communication and stakeholder mgmt skills. Experience managing policy budgets and resources efficiently. 🎁 Benefits Travel up to 40%. Base salary $210,000 — $259,000 USD; bonus and equity programs.
