Lidar Technician

📋 Description Process forest lidar data; co-register TLS and pre-process ALS data using in-house and vendor software. Back up large lidar datasets; collaborate with scientists, engineers and field team. Quality assurance of TLS-derived tree segmentation. Improve lidar tech; track advances in science and industry. Coordinate with external partners; ensure clear communication and continuous improvement. Occasional travel for data collection, hardware testing and training. 🎯 Requirements Experience with forest lidar data; TLS co-registration and ALS pre-processing. Proficient with 3D point cloud tools (CloudCompare) and QGIS; Python coding. Strong attention to detail and data quality. Willing and able to travel internationally for weeks at a time. Good understanding of forest ecology, GIS, and lidar principles.
