📋 Description Define and own the platform architecture (multi-modal APIs and data infra) Lead cross-functional initiatives; convert bets into engineering roadmaps Architect scalable AI systems: LLM integrations, retrieval, tools Set engineering standards as we scale from 30 to 300 engineers Translate product vision into architecture and shipped systems Embed AI-native development (Claude Code, Cursor) into engineering practice Mentor senior engineers to build a faster, more autonomous team Operate in-person in SF, 5 days a week 🎯 Requirements 8+ years software engineering with technical direction experience Proven track record of architectural wins that scale and survive in production Expert in TypeScript and Python; strong JavaScript for full-stack work Platform engineering: distributed systems, event-driven, cloud-native AI engineering depth: LLMs, context management, tool-use, eval strategy Ability to design for evolving requirements BS/BA in Computer Science; MS or PhD in CS, AI, or a related field is a meaningful plus Radical ownership; problems solved or escalated within 24 hours Full-time SF presence — you're a force multiplier in the room 🎁 Benefits 100% paid health, dental & vision care 401(k) and financial wellness perks Discretionary PTO + paid parental leave Mental health, wellness & family benefits Equity at Series A prices A mission-driven team shaping the future of banking
