Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

📋 Description Lead LV switchgear/switchboard mechanical design (enclosures, frames, barriers, cabling). Create 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks; manage BOMs and revisions. Support high-current systems (1200A–6000A) and large-frame configurations. Collaborate with Electrical Eng to ensure safe, code-compliant layouts. Lead DFM/DFA activities for modularization and standardization. Generate ECOs and redlines; support prototypes and UL documentation. 🎯 Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; Master’s preferred. 7+ years in mechanical design within engineered-to-order, electrical infrastructure, or industrial products. 1–2 years LV switchgear or switchboard design experience (1200A–6000A preferred). Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks and PDM. Strong knowledge of sheet metal, machining, structural design, and tolerance control.
