📋 Description Form and set up Plaid’s Detection and Response team from scratch. Lead day-to-day incident response operations and evaluate program effectiveness. Manage and mentor a technical team for detection infra, AI triage, tooling. Oversee Fraud Operations and Red Team activities for proactive security. Partner with CISO, CTO, COO to communicate security risks and maturity gains. Define and track metrics to evaluate the D&R program. 🎯 Requirements Must haves: 8-14 years of detection and response or security engineering experience Strong technical background in security or detection engineering; SIEM, EDR, SOC Experience leading security analysts and engineers in operational contexts Ability to drive security maturity through influence and cross-functional work High-empathy communication to staff-level leadership Strong AI-first skillset for security operations Nice to have: Fintech or payments-adjacent experience Background in fraud investigation or software engineering 🎁 Benefits Medical, dental, vision coverage 401(k) with company match Reasonable accommodations in recruiting process
