Manager, Firmware Engineering

📋 Description Hands-on embedded engineering (C/C++) for safety-critical devices. Real-time firmware for Zephyr/FreeRTOS and bare-metal targets. Bring up new hardware; debug with JTAG, GDB, oscilloscopes. Maintain and improve firmware CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and tests. Own firmware team health, performance, and on-time delivery. Balance hands-on work with leadership and cross-team alignment. 🎯 Requirements Typically 6+ years of embedded software; 2+ years leading engineers. Strong C/C++, RTOS, and Embedded Linux development. Hardware bring-up with low-level debugging (JTAG, GDB). Experience with UART, SPI, I2C, USB, CAN; IP networking. Proven backlog planning, estimation, and cross-team prioritization. B.S. in Computer/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
