High Voltage Electrical Engineer – Substations  Switchyards

📋 Description Develop HV substation and switchyard design (34.5 kV45 kV) Create one-line diagrams, protection philosophies, grounding, layouts, and specs Perform studies: short-circuit, grounding, lightning, cable sizing, station service Produce design documents: general arrangements, elevations, grounding, conduit, foundations Specify/coordinate transformers, gas circuit breakers, disconnects, and instrument transformers Support FAT, commissioning, and site travel 🎯 Requirements B.S. in Electrical Engineering 5+ years in high-voltage substation engineering Design substations 34.5 kV through 345 kV Experience with utility interconnections and transmission systems Knowledge of IEEE, ANSI, NESC and utility standards Grounding design, protection coordination, relay applications; PE license preferred 🎁 Benefits Medical, dental, vision, life insurance Short-term and long-term disability coverage Paid time off and wellness programs Career growth and entrepreneurial culture
