📋 Description Perform trade studies and derive requirements for vehicle configuration Complete hand calculations and FEM analysis of primary and secondary structures Develop company standards for model creation, strength checks, and reports Compile stress analysis docs to support release of drawings and docs Mentor designers and junior analysts in stress, stability, and fracture analysis Provide guidance on design concepts balancing risk, cost, and performance 🎯 Requirements 5+ years of experience with aircraft/spacecraft structures Bachelor's degree in Engineering; MS preferred Experience with stress, fatigue, and/or damage tolerance analysis Hand calculations and Finite Element Analysis experience Proficient in Nastran, Optistruct, Ansys, Abaqus, LS-Dyna Strong FEM modeling techniques and verification methods 🎁 Benefits Knowledge of FAA Part 23/27 certification requirements Experience with development or qualification testing Familiar with classical aerospace sizing methods (Bruhn, Niu, Roark) Experience with scripting in Matlab and Python for automation
