At Bosch Chile, we are looking for an Industrial Sales Manager to lead the growth and commercial development of our Industrial Boilers business within the VP division.

Responsibilities

Business Development & Commercial Strategy

• Design and implement the strategic commercial plan for the Industrial Boilers business in Chile.

• Identify priority markets, segments and high-potential customers.

• Develop new business opportunities across key industrial sectors.

• Analyze market trends, competitors, customer needs and emerging technologies to identify opportunities for growth and differentiation.

• Develop and execute strategies for the introduction of new products, services and solutions.

• Translate market and field insights into commercial priorities and long-term business strategies.

Sales & Strategic Customer Management

• Manage the full sales cycle for complex, high-value industrial solutions, from prospecting and opportunity qualification to negotiation, closing and after-sales support.

• Establish and maintain strong, long-term relationships with current and potential industrial customers.

• Engage with different decision-makers and stakeholders, including C-Level executives, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Procurement teams.

• Expand and develop a portfolio of strategic customers by understanding their operational and technical needs and translating them into valuable solutions.

• Lead the development of complex and high-impact technical-commercial proposals, ensuring profitability and compliance with Bosch quality standards.

Industrial Boilers & Technical Solutions

• Drive commercial opportunities related to industrial steam and hot water boilers, water-tube boilers, combustion systems, steam and energy generation, energy efficiency and industrial thermal processes.

• Understand customers’ industrial processes and technical challenges to identify the most appropriate Bosch solutions.

• Translate complex technical concepts into clear commercial value for technical, operational and executive audiences.

• Identify opportunities to optimize thermal processes, improve energy performance and generate long-term value for customers.

Project & Operations Management

• Collaborate closely with Engineering, Projects and Technical Service teams to ensure successful implementation of customer solutions.

• Coordinate commercial and technical stakeholders throughout the different stages of the project.

• Monitor implemented projects and solutions, ensuring technical, financial and timeline objectives are achieved.

• Maintain close contact with customers throughout the project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction and identify future business opportunities.

Team Leadership & People Management

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of sales professionals and/or application engineers, fostering a high-performance environment.

• Establish clear objectives and provide coaching and follow-up to achieve individual and collective goals.

• Maintain close contact with sales teams, technical specialists and customers in the field.

• Connect field reality with business strategy, transforming customer and team insights into commercial actions and priorities.

• Adapt leadership and communication style to different audiences and organizational levels.

Business Performance & Reporting

• Manage the business P&L, ensuring sustainable and profitable growth.

• Monitor commercial performance, sales projections, pipeline and market opportunities.

• Use CRM tools for opportunity management and tracking.

• Provide management with relevant market analysis and business insights to support decision-making.

Qualifications

Mandatory Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering or a related engineering field.

• 5–10 years of proven experience in business development, commercial management and/or sales leadership within the industrial sector.

• Strong experience developing business with industrial customers in Chile.

• A strong network of contacts and demonstrated experience with relevant customers in sectors such as mining, energy, food & beverage, pulp & paper, manufacturing and other process industries.

• Experience selling complex technical solutions, industrial equipment, thermal solutions, energy systems and/or heavy machinery.

• Strong negotiation, closing and executive-level relationship management skills.

• Ability to identify and develop new business opportunities with a proactive and results-oriented approach.

• Experience managing commercial performance, budgets and P&L.

• Advanced English proficiency is mandatory, including the ability to conduct business discussions and deliver strategic presentations to international senior management.

• Valid Class B driver’s license.

• Availability to travel frequently within Chile and occasionally within the region.

Technical Knowledge

• Industrial steam and hot water boilers.

• Water-tube boiler systems.

• Steam and energy generation systems.

• Combustion systems and technologies.

• Energy efficiency.

• Industrial thermal processes and optimization.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or relevant postgraduate studies.

• Direct experience with industrial boilers, steam generation, combustion systems, thermal solutions and/or energy efficiency.

• Experience leading commercial and/or technical-commercial teams.

• Experience working within multinational industrial organizations and interacting with regional or global stakeholders.

The role requires someone who can be equally effective in the field and in the boardroom: building strong relationships with sales teams, technical professionals and industrial customers while also being able to analyze the business, define strategy and present it confidently to senior international management.
