📋 Description

• Coordinate with Managing Editor to generate local news and feature stories.
• Cover municipal government and community topics in Markham and York Region.
• Adapt to fast-changing news environment with urgency.
• Produce high-quality journalism with data analysis in English.
• Assist with translation to traditional Chinese.
• Engage with readers and communities across platforms.

🎯 Requirements

• Diploma or degree in journalism or related field.
• Fluent in Cantonese, Mandarin and English.
• Self-starter, innovative, strong writing and photo skills.
• Strong news judgment and work ethic.
• Online posting skills, proficient with social media for sourcing/sharing.
• Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings/weekends; valid driver's license; able to travel
