Senior Data Scientist

📋 Description

• Partner with engineering teams to develop actionable insights for Wayve AI Driver
• Use experiments and observations from real/simulated driving to drive safety and performance
• Define metrics and experiments to guide product requirements and commercial success
• Investigate model training/inference bottlenecks and validate hypotheses for improvements

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years in a Data Science role
• Fluent in SQL for data transformation pipelines
• Experience designing robust real-world experiments (e.g., A/B)
• Strong foundations in statistics and hypothesis testing
• Proficient in Python (pandas, sklearn, statsmodels, scipy) or R (dplyr, caret, stats)
• Ability to summarise and communicate findings clearly and influence decisions

Desirable

• PyTorch experience; productionising research ideas
• Experience promoting experimental rigour and best practices
• Experience with causal inference/econometrics and Bayesian methods
• Experience with large datasets and distributed computing (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
