Senior Data Governance Specialist (Hands-on / Business-Facing)

📋 Description

• Support day-to-day data governance initiatives across business functions.
• Partner with stakeholders and data owners to understand data landscapes and needs.
• Translate stakeholder discussions into action plans, docs, and governance deliverables.
• Identify high-impact opportunities to demonstrate value of governance.
• Maintain enterprise data catalogs, definitions, ownership, metadata.
• Collaborate with Data Quality and Engineering to define and monitor quality rules.

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years in data governance, data quality, or related field.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Data Management, Information Systems, CS, or related.
• Hands-on governance in regulated environments (finance/insurance).
• Experience with data catalogs/lineage tools (Collibra, Alation, Informatica EDC, Azure Purview).
• Strong SQL; familiarity with data quality concepts; Jira/ServiceNow experience.
• Excellent documentation and facilitation; cloud experience a plus; basic Python.
